Dr. Theresa Hedrington is a passionate author, educator, minister, and advocate whose life is rooted in
service, faith, and empowerment. Born and raised in the dynamic communities of the Bronx and
Westchester, NY, she brings over 25 years of experience in special education, serving as a teacher, director,
and tireless advocate for students with special needs. Her personal journey as a parent and grandparent of
children with special needs fuels her mission to uplift and support families facing similar challenges.
Theresa holds a Master's in Special Education from Hunter College, a Bachelor's in Human Services from
Metropolitan College of New York, and a Family Development Certification from Lehman College. She also
holds an honorary PhD in Educational Studies from Rehobeth Seminary, where she serves as a licensed
International Task Force Chaplain.
A gifted storyteller and dynamic speaker, Dr. Hedrington is the co-author of Puanani Repentance (Beautiful
Flower) and a contributor to two inspiring anthologies, Turning My Pain into Purpose. Her work explores
healing, identity, and spiritual transformation, offering readers a powerful blend of authenticity, wisdom, a
journey of truth, and hope.
With over 30 years of ministry experience, Minister Theresa is a faithful leader at Dabar Tabernacle of
Deliverance, Inc., under the guidance of Bishop-elect LaTonya Heyward. Her ministry is marked by fervent
prayer, deep compassion, and a heart for soul-winning. Whether mentoring, writing, or serving her
community, she lives to share truth, restore hope, and ignite purpose in others.
